In addition to offering training and consulting, Social Media Exchange wants to be a connector for civil society organizations based in Lebanon. So starting today, SMEX will publish funding and other opportunities we find to our blog (and eventually our website, which is undergoing some renovation). Subscribe to our RSS feed to make sure you keep up with what’s happening. Or if you want us to publicize your media-related events, grants, or other activities, please send an email to info@smex.org.
Funding
The deadline for the third round of funding for Internews grants to support independent media is this Friday, January 30.
“Funding will range between $5,000 to $20,000 for creative and innovative projects supporting the role of new media, youth engagement, and civil society development, in the upcoming Parliamentary elections, with special focus on projects outside the capital.”
The application isn’t too long or complicated, so if you have a good idea, gather your thoughts and submit the application.
