From March 1–3, Mirada Madrid will host the very first Beirut Service Jam along with their partner, the Beirut Creative Cluster. The jam, to be held at the Berytech Building in the new Beirut Digital District, will bring together designers, business people, academics, students, and customers to think about and prototype exceptional customer experiences, a relatively new practice known as service design.
“Following our experience in the Lebanese market, we believe that we are at a turning point,” says Mirada Madrid principal Joumana Mattar, “where . . . designers, business owners and NGOs are ready to put the user at the center of their processes so that they can consistently deliver an experience full of moments of delight.”
Participants at the jam will be able to experiment with a range of service design tools and to explore service solutions, with the aim of generating insights into their daily professional interactions.
And insights will be plenty, we at SMEX can attest. Last year, we worked with Mirada Madrid to prototype two soon-to-launch projects, which yielded not only crisp plans but also a deeper understanding of how SMEX can service its constituents. We’ll reveal more specifics shortly.
Meanwhile, register and reserve your place by visiting the new digital ticketing platform ihjoz. Tickets are $15. Then, head to Facebook to Like the Jam page or follow @BeirutSJam to get updates.
