SMEX is seeking researchers to survey the legal landscape for digital rights in the 22 Arab League countries to build out and update its Arab Digital Rights Datasets and related applications. The datasets, launched in 2015, are being furthered developed into an open-data resource for journalists, activists, legal professionals, policymakers, academics, entrepreneurs, and others seeking to gain a deeper understanding of how the legal frameworks for digital rights are developing in the region. Applications are being accepted until February 10.
