Internship Overview
We are excited to invite a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Intern in the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Unit. The selected intern will support the MEAL team in ensuring the effective collection, analysis, and reporting of data across programs. This opportunity is ideal for university students or recent graduates who are passionate about digital rights and humanitarian work and who are eager to gain hands-on experience in program quality assurance and impact measurement.
Responsibilities
- Assist in data entry, cleaning, and verification to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Support the synthesis of findings from assessments, evaluations, and learning exercises.
- Maintain and organize MEAL documentation, including databases and filing systems.
- Take clear, well-structured notes during meetings and interviews, ensuring that key decisions, discussion points, and action items are captured and shared promptly.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions, as needed.
- Assist in drafting donor and internal reports as needed.
- Support in visualizing data through charts, infographics, and dashboards, and contribute to data storytelling efforts that communicate impact clearly and effectively.
- Assist in tracking and reporting against project indicators in coordination with the MEAL team.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a university program in social sciences, public health, statistics, development studies, or a related field.
- Familiarity with data collection and management tools (e.g., ActivityInfo, Google Forms, Excel).
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to apply logical reasoning to tasks and challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to act independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Commitment to accountability, learning, and ethical data practices.
